Sharon is located in Litchfield County in the northwest corner of the state. Incorporated in 1739, named after the Plain of Sharon.
The town is bounded on the north by Salisbury, on the east across the Housatonic River by Cornwall, on the south by Kent, and on the west by Dutchess County, New York.
Living in Sharon offers residents a rural feel and above average public schools.
