Pound Ridge is a suburb of New York City in Westchester County and is considered one of the best places to live in New York.
Pound Ridge was officially incorporated in 1788 and was mainly an agricultural community with families raising crops, beef and dairy for their own consumption. On July 2, 1779 Pound Ridge was a battle site during American Revolutionary War, in which, a force of 300 American rebels was attacked by 200 British soldiers under the command of Banastre Tarleton.
Living in Pound Ridge offers residents a rural feel with highly rated public schools.
